FORGE Your Story

An app for all JMHC-related experiences, powered by Suitable

In the John Martinson Honors College, students are encouraged to FORGE their story – to take an active role in shaping their college experience. The JMHC provides students with options and incentives to build their own adventure by customizing learning and social opportunities.

Students earn badges on a variety of topics by focusing on a single interest or trying a little of everything. To do this, we use a point system in the Suitable app, which is designed to connect students with resources and take advantage of all the university has to offer at their own pace. The app empowers students to design their own unique pathway based on their interests and goals. Students can also share their badges on LinkedIn, ultimately building their public professional profile.

How can students earn rewards?

Students earn points by scanning QR codes displayed at JMHC events, allowing them to track their progress across a variety of competencies. In addition to attending events, students can pursue themed badges such as "Interview Ready" and "Leadership Jumpstart,” which offer more opportunities to earn points while building valuable skills.

As points accumulate within the app, students become eligible for a range of rewards. Rewards have included fun and practical items like mugs and tote bags, delicious treats such as pizza and ice cream socials, and engaging activities like bowling nights—making participation both enriching and enjoyable.

Students compete individually on the monthly leaderboard, and their point totals contribute to their assigned house’s point average. At the end of the year, the house with the most points receives the house trophy and bragging rights.

How can students access the Suitable app?

Students can access Suitable by visiting Suitable.co and using their Purdue username and password to log on. Don't worry, student data is safe behind Purdue's Single Sign-On (SSO). One can also access Suitable by searching for “Suitable” on the app store OR on a web browser.

This application is the best place to track progress towards the House competition, pursue JMHC specific badges, and view asynchronous tasks that connect JMHC students with resources on campus and beyond.

Suitable does not sell or use any information entered into the FORGE Your Story platform. The JMHC only aggregates house point totals. Students can opt out of the leaderboard.
